Treatment Facilities and Procedures

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) is primarily used by women in the treatment of treat acne, scarring, and alopecia. It is also effective for skin rejuvenation and to wrinkle around the eyes. The process is a painless procedure administered with a local anesthesia. The effects of the treatment with skin texture and tone can be noticed in 3 weeks from the procedure.

Thread Lift procedure is a minimally invasive procedure to facelift surgery. It involves tightening and lifting the sagging skin without surgery. The Thread Lift procedure works best when combined with lasers, fillers etc in order to achieve the most optimal results. Most patients are able to return to work in couple of days after the procedure with only minor discomfort.

Dry Skin:

Dry skin is caused by hot or cold weather, low moisture in the air, and soaking in hot water. Most dry skin cases are not serious and can be treated by using moisturizers and avoiding harsh, drying soaps. If the problem persists we recommend you to consult a dermatologist.

Dermatitis is a general term for skin inflammation which looks dry, swollen, and red. However, it’s not contagious. Dermatitis can be uncomfortable for some and can range from mild to severe. Dermatitis can last a long time, while others are seen depending on the seasons. Some types of dermatitis are more common in children, and others are more common in adults. Most Sexually Transmitted Diseases are as follows:

*Genital Warts - These skin-colored lesions are caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV) and appear on the skin as a rash of small bumps. Most people who are infected with genital warts don't and makes it easy to pass on the infection. Genital warts are treatable if not treated it can become a lifelong infection in some patients.

*Syphilis - Syphilis is a common bacterial infection which could spread easily spread by physical contact with an infected person or the through the objects used by the infected person like toilet seat etc. It is very important to consult a dermatologist and start treatment at the earliest cos if left untreated can lead to further complications.

*Chlamydia - The symptoms of chlamydia include painful urination, vaginal discharge or genital inflammation. In some cases, chlamydia can affect the eyes, causing pink eye.

*Gonorrhea - Gonorrhea is caused by sexually transmitted infection (STI) by an an infected person. Both men and women can have gonorrhea and most women do not show symptoms. It is treated with antibiotics and usually subsides within days of medical intervention.

*Trichomoniasis -Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted parasite infection. Most people get infections by parasites but they show no symptoms are totally fine. Most signs of parasite infection are smelly discharge, itching, irritation, frequent urination and painful peeing. Trichomoniasis can be prevented by protected sex with a condom.

*Hepatitis A, B & C

-Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is mostly transmitted through consumption of contaminated water or food. Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is found on the faces of an infected persons. Infections are mostly mild cases, with many people making a full recovery and getting immune to further HAV infections. Hepatitis A virus infections can also be severe and life threatening in some cases. Prevention of Hepatitis A virus are done through Safe and effective vaccines.

-Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is transmitted through contaminated blood, semen or other body fluids. Most Hepatitis B virus are transmitted from infected mothers to infants at the time of birth or in early childhood. Prevention of Hepatitis A virus are done through Safe and effective vaccines.

-Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is are mainly transmitted through exposure to infective blood transfusions and contaminated injections during medical procedures. Sometimes, Hepatitis C virus transmission through sexual transmission. There is no preventive vaccine for Hepatitis C virus.

- Contagious Skin Diseases

Skin protects us from harmful environmental forces like viruses, bacteria or fungi which causes infections. These skin infections are called contagious skin diseases. Some of the most common contagious skin diseases are as follows

*Impetigo – The infection that spreads through sores of an infected person is called impeigo. It is mostly found in infants and children. These sores are found around the nose, mouth, hands and feet. Ruptured sores causes mild itching and soreness.

*Molluscum contagiosum – This infection spread by virus from scratching from one body part to another or through person to person through physical contact. Mostly molluscum contagiosum is infected by sexual contact. Infection with small dimpled bumps with pink colour are found on face, neck, hands, arms and armpits.

*Fungal infections – Fungal infections are caused by breathing in or getting in contact with fungal spores in the environment. Fungal infection affect people with weakened immune systems. Rashes are fond where skin rubs up against skin, such as between the toes, under the breasts and in the genital area.

*Athlete’s foot – Athletes foot is a fungal infection is caused by infection on damp body surfaces such as soles, feet, toenails, groin and armpits. This causes stinging, itching and burning and possibly an unpleasant odor.

*Scabies – This infection is caused by skin to skin contact or infested items such as bed and furniture. Small microscopic mites get into the skin and feed on them. causing Itching. Mites can get into body parts such as wrists, elbows, fingers, around fingernails, the buttocks, belt line, penis and around the nipples.

*Ringworm – Ringworm is an infection caused by skin to skin contact with a person or an animal. The infected area forms a circular ring with clear, scaly or bumpy and red in colour which spreads outwards. Sometimes several rings appear and overlap.

*Shingles – Shingles is caused by the same virus that is found in chicken pox. This caused numbness, pain, red rash, burning, blisters that rupture and itching. Most shingles develop around an eye, neck or face. The effects of shingles may also cause headache, fatigue and fever.

Treatment Options

Some contagious skin diseases clear on their own. Many contagious skin diseases are treated by medications such as antibiotics, antifungal powder and lotion and steroid creams. Surgical option includes cryosurgery, curettage and laser surgery.

Cryosurgery is a surgery uses extreme cold to destroy abnormal tissues, such as tumor and cancerous lesions found on your skin. The surgery involves the use of liquid nitrogen with a temperature between -346 and -320°F. Tumor or tissue with infection is killed or destroyed upon contact with extreme cold conditions. Advances in cryosurgery technology have lessened the side effects associated with the treatment.
